1. Acceptance of Terms
By using GeoPulse ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Service Description
GeoPulse is a forecasting game in which users predict the outcomes of geopolitical events using virtual tokens. Tokens have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for real currency.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this App. By using GeoPulse, you confirm you meet this age requirement.
4. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account
- One account per person is permitted
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms
5. Virtual Tokens
- Tokens have no real-world value
- Tokens may be purchased within the app; they cannot be sold, exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for money
- Token balances may be adjusted for promotional purposes
- We reserve the right to modify the token system
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to manipulate markets or outcomes
- Create multiple accounts
- Interfere with the App's operation
- Harass other users
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of GeoPulse are owned by Matador Solutions Ltd and protected by international copyright laws.
8. Disclaimers
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties
- We do not guarantee accuracy of market outcomes
- We are not responsible for user decisions based on market data
- Service availability may vary
9. Limitation of Liability
Matador Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
Market Resolution, Holds, Withdrawal & Refunds
- Markets are resolved by reference to publicly available information after the market's stated deadline. Resolution may be performed by GeoPulse staff or by automated systems acting on published news sources.
- Resolution is based on what those sources report. Where our sources do not report that the event occurred by the deadline, the market may be resolved as though it did not occur. If you believe a reliable public source shows otherwise, the Disputes section applies.
- We aim to resolve markets and credit any tokens due promptly. Where a market's outcome is uncertain, disputed, or cannot be confirmed with reasonable confidence, settlement may be held pending review rather than completed immediately. Held markets are reviewed and finalised within a reasonable period.
- We may withdraw a market at any time before it is resolved where the market is ambiguous or poorly defined, duplicates another market, was published in error, can no longer be fairly resolved, or where continuing the market would be unfair to those holding positions on it.
- If a market is withdrawn, every token placed on it is returned in full to the account that placed it, and no position on that market is settled as won or lost. Refunds are made in the same virtual tokens that were placed and appear in your transaction history.
- Where a resolution is later found to have been made in error, we may correct it. A correction may involve re-settling positions on that market; where a correction cannot be made fairly, we may withdraw the market and return all tokens placed as set out above.
- All resolution, hold, withdrawal, correction and refund decisions are made at our discretion and are final, subject to the Disputes section. As set out in section 5, tokens have no real-world or monetary value; a refund of tokens is the complete remedy for a withdrawn market.
Disputes
- If you believe a market has been resolved or withdrawn in error, contact us at contact@geopulseapp.com. We consider disputes on a case-by-case basis. Any resulting adjustment is made solely in virtual tokens and is final.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
